Welcome to Progression Ministries & Counselling Services where we believe that true freedom and  happiness lies in the continual betterment of self on the physical, spiritual and mental levels. Our revolutionary addiction recovery program has seen great success due to its simplicity and progressive learning curve which has proven to maximize information while minimizing excess jargon. We believe in getting to the root of the addiction or problem quickly and dealing with that directly, while at the same time discovering what it is that has kept one caught up in a negative cycle all along. There are always many layers to a problem and each must be dealt with accordingly in order to have complete recovery in any aspect of life.

Our ministry is that of helping those who have been afflicted with addiction. We believe that all things are possible with God, and overcoming obstacles such as alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction, gambling, or even sex addiction and sexual immorality, are but small challenges for the One that strengthens us. Although many people are often scared off by the thought of having to come to God for help in relieving their addictions and afflictions, we have designed a course that presents God to the individual in a very time sensitive and realistic manner. It is unfortunate that most people do not look to the Lord until it is their last hope, but when all else fails in the world, God is still there to free His children from their addictions and strife. 

Often when people have come to a breaking point in their lives, whether it is due to addiction or affliction, they tend to jump into any pool of relief with both feet hoping to find some ease to their pain. The end result quite typically is that they find themselves overwhelmed in this pool and the chaos of the pain of addiction and affliction seems no worse than the overwhelming feeling of the pool. This is why it is so important that we learn to progress in our recovery from ailments, regardless of what they are. Sex, gambling, smoking, drugs, or alcohol, are all means of escaping the pains in one's heart and therefore can all be recovered from through treatment of the root cause. Our Progressive Recovery course allows anyone to look deep within themselves and examine that root cause of their addictions and afflictions. God can heal, but we must take the initiative to reach for Him in order to do so. There is nothing that can come before us that we can not overcome and recover from.  

In addition to the Progressive Recovery Course, we also offer a complete range of family counselling. These sessions can be done either in person if in the Halifax Region, online, or via tele-conferencing. We are also available for single day or weekend recovery workshops and guest speaking appearances.
